Well chaps,
I thought I would kick of this little corner of the forum with my little contribution. Along with a great number of people I got myself down to the local 'The Works' outlet and treated my self to a couple of their Airfix bargains. First up is the BoB anniversary set.
This comprises a Spitfire MkII, A Hurricane Mk1, A Me109E-4 and the He1-11. All the kits are relatively new toolings with possibly the Spitfire and 109 being the oldest. The Hurricane is a fairly recent release and shows the original Mk1 with the fabric wing. The He1-11 is the same as the kit that was released in 2016 (or possibly late 2015 - I can't remember!)
Anyway, the builds are very straight forward and all the four models were assembled quite quickly. The painting guide for the interiors is slightly incorrect in the call outs because it relates to the paints supplied in the set rather than the accurate colours. Interestingly, the colours for the RAF models are correct but the colours for the Luftwaffe models are the nearest RAF colours! I painted the models in the correct colours because I could!
One small hiccup in the packing department was the inclusion of a Typhoon canopy instead of the correct sprue for the Me109.....
Here are the models as of today, All are glossed with the majority of the decals applied. I am currently waiting for some swastikas so I can complete the 109 and 1-11. These will then be sealed and a matt coat applied.
More to come.....

Great one, mate.
This should make a nice display when complete. How did you find the fit on the Hurricane kit? Mine was a bit tight in places.
Regards
Dave
